Welcome to UsePawMap. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the UsePawMap mobile application (the "App"), operated by UsePawMap ("we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use UsePawMap. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account, dog profile, or business listing.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or defamatory reviews or content
- Upload content that is illegal, abusive, or infringes on others' rights
- Impersonate another person or business
- Misuse the App to harm, harass, or spam other users
- Attempt to access or verify a business listing you are not authorized to represent
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
4. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of the reviews, photos, and other content you post. By posting content, you grant UsePawMap a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use that content within the App and for promotional purposes related to the App.
5. Business Listings and "Verified by UsePawMap™"
Business owners may submit listings for review. Verification under the "Verified by UsePawMap™" standard is at our sole discretion and does not guarantee any particular outcome for the business, including customer visits or revenue.
6. Location Data
The App's core features rely on location data. By enabling location access, you acknowledge that place recommendations depend on the accuracy of your device's location services.
7. Subscriptions (Golden Club)
UsePawMap offers an optional premium subscription ("Golden Club") that unlocks additional features. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, renew automatically unless canceled, and are subject to the refund policies of those platforms. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
8. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services, including Google Maps and Places, Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, Supabase, and RevenueCat. Your use of these integrations may also be subject to those providers' own terms and privacy policies.
9. Disclaimers
Pet-friendliness information is provided for convenience and may not always be accurate or up to date. We do not guarantee that any listed place will accommodate pets under all circumstances, and we recommend confirming pet policies directly with the venue before visiting.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UsePawMap is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including reliance on place information or interactions with other users or businesses.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and request account deletion at any time.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
